Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. As a Registered Dietitian in Clinical Nutrition at Prisma Health, you will provide nutrition care and education to patients and their caregivers, evaluating nutritional status and developing care plans.
You will coordinate, review, plan, update, and implement medical nutrition therapy according to established policies and procedures. Assess nutrient requirements, recommend nutrition prescriptions, and monitor patient tolerance and effectiveness. Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, and discharge planning. Serve as a preceptor for medical, dietetic, and food service interns. Monitor patients receiving nutrition support and assist with performance and quality improvement projects. Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Registered Dietitian state licensure (e.g., SC LLR).
- No previous experience required.
- Maintain 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years.
- Ability to interpret data, teach, communicate to other healthcare professionals, manipulate numbers, and write in medical record.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, review, plan, update, and implement medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients receiving nutrition support.
- Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff, and community partners.
- Serve as a preceptor for medical, dietetic, and food service interns and/or clinical research.
- Participate and serve on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees, and/or discharge planning.
- Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
