About this role
We are searching for an Inpatient Registered Nurse for our Operating Room -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care. This incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care.
You will assist in the collection of patient/family data that may include biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per site protocol. Collect and document vital signs, height/weight and reason for visit. Prepare patient for examination per site protocol and assist provider during treatments, examinations and testing.
Administer medication and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol, documenting in the medical record. Provide patient/family education as instructed by the physician or site protocol and coordinate referrals. Triage presenting patient complaint per site protocol and verify provider order and patient.

Requirements
- RN License from Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
- 1 Year Professional Nursing Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Associate degree in nursing/related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Currently enrolled in a Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN with verified BSN-equivalency or signed agreement
