Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking CRNAs for opportunities at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, a bustling tertiary care facility and Level 2 Trauma Center renowned regionally and statewide for exceptional healthcare services. We offer a diverse range of cases that will keep you engaged, including an exceptionally busy and high-risk OB department.

CRNAs at Hillcrest administer anesthetic care for diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, performing pre-anesthetic assessments and developing individualized anesthetic plans. They select, obtain, and administer the anesthetic plan through induction, maintenance, and emergence phases, while recognizing and responding to alterations in physiologic responses.

We foster a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, CAAs, and MDAs share responsibilities and respect each other's contributions. CRNAs can actively participate in various committees and contribute to process improvement initiatives, with flexibility in scheduling—most work four 10-hour shifts or a combination of two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
Current Ohio RN license or eligibility to obtain.
Ability to manage a diverse range of surgical cases, including high-risk obstetrics.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a care team model with CRNAs, CAAs, and MDAs.
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including occasional weekend call from home (8-hour shift once every 4-5 weeks).

Responsibilities

Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
Selects, obtains, and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance, and emergence phase anesthesia.
Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action, and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.
Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
Participates in various committees and contributes to process improvement initiatives.
