About this role

Priory Hospital Bristol is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a part-time, site-based role working 15 hours per week. You will be based on the PICU ward within a 77-bed mental health hospital offering specialist services.

You will carry out assessments, contribute to ward rounds and care plans, and liaise with therapists and consultant psychiatrists. You will assist qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual care plans and undertake routine tasks to facilitate treatment.

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing, taking a personalised approach with proven therapies. The hospital offers free on-site parking and is conveniently located near the M32 for easy access.

Requirements

BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
Full BAOT membership.
HCPC registration.
Demonstrated resilience and ability to handle challenging situations.
Natural empathy and commitment to supporting patients through both highs and lows.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with therapists and consultant psychiatrists.
Understanding of individual patient care plans and assessment processes.

Responsibilities

Carry out assessments and contribute to ward rounds and care plans.
Liaise with other therapists and consultant psychiatrists as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate patient wellbeing, dignity, and treatment.
Plan and deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
Play a key part in patients' recovery by delivering personalised, proven therapies.
