Under general direction, you will interpret and report test results, performing routine and complex technical laboratory analyses using established procedures and protocols.
Day-to-day, you will perform a full range of laboratory tests from simple blood tests to more complex tests. You will operate complex electronic equipment, computers, and precision instruments, and perform and evaluate quality control procedures. Escalate unusual, critical, or abnormal results to physicians.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- No prior experience required; training provided.
- Ability to perform routine and complex technical laboratory analyses using established procedures.
- Proficiency in operating complex electronic equipment, computers, and precision instruments.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and preventive maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to escalate critical results.
- Commitment to maintaining competencies and continuing education.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of laboratory tests from simple blood tests to more complex tests.
- Interpret test reports and communicate findings to physicians.

- Perform and evaluate quality control procedures.
- Maintain accuracy of equipment and reagents by performing established preventive maintenance procedures.
- Assist providers in choosing appropriate lab tests and evaluate new testing methods.
- Assist in the proficiency testing program and maintain competencies through continuing education.
