About this role
Preble Home Health Services is currently hiring Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. In this role, you will implement patient treatment plans for individuals of all ages, helping them develop, recover, and maintain essential daily living and working skills.
Your day-to-day involves delivering therapeutic interventions, tracking patient progress, and adapting activities to improve motor skills, cognitive functions, and overall independence. You will travel to patients' homes in Preble County, providing care in a one-on-one setting that allows for meaningful impact.
As part of a dedicated team, you will collaborate with the supervising OT and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Every team member has the ability to positively impact lives, and we take pride in the responsibility of serving those who trust us with their care.
This position offers self-scheduling and pay per visit, giving you flexibility and control over your workload. Whether you choose PRN or part-time, you will receive weekly pay and paid time off, supporting a balanced professional life.
Requirements
- Active Ohio COTA Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Experience in home health or skilled nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Implement patient treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and maintain daily living and working skills
- Track patient progress and document responses to treatment
- Adapt activities to improve motor skills, cognitive functions, and overall independence
- Work with patients of all ages in their home environment
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home programs
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of services
- Travel to patient homes within Preble County to provide therapy services
