About this role

We are looking for highly skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineers to support cutting-edge digital pathology systems in clinical environments. You will partner with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment operates at peak performance, delivering reliable and accurate results, and play a key role in maintaining uptime SLAs.

This role combines technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service to maintain, install, and troubleshoot advanced medical instrumentation. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, lead complete site setups, diagnose root causes, and manage service documentation to adhere to regulatory quality standards.

You will build strong partnerships with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers through clear communication. Operate with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations, to support multiple hospital accounts across greater metro areas like New York, Memphis, Jacksonville, and Washington D.C.

Candidates must currently be located in one of those metro areas with potential travel to surrounding regions. This role offers the chance to work with robotic systems, laboratory instruments, and cutting-edge digital pathology technology, gaining deep expertise in digital scanner installations and LIS integration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on digital scanners and related hardware, diagnose root causes, and validate system performance per SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Lead complete site setups: unpack, assemble, calibrate instruments, configure networking, middleware, and integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Respond promptly to service calls on-site to minimize equipment downtime and maintain uptime SLAs.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues; escalate complex issues through established channels.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and calibration records in CRM and tracking systems.
