Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Five or more years related medical office experience.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) is a must.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance information.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced administrative support to the Orthopaedics department or one or more physicians.
  • Types correspondence and prepares documents as needed.
  • Schedules patient appointments for a limited number of physicians and coordinates business appointments.
  • Utilizes electronic systems as documented in department and FPI standard operating procedures.
  • Performs high level tasks requiring knowledge of medical terminology and insurance information.
  • Ensures accurate data entry with meticulous attention to details.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned to support office operations.
