About this role
RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RDN) to support a skilled nursing facility in a part-time capacity. This position offers a consistent schedule with flexibility in selecting your workdays.
You will complete nutrition assessments for new admissions and quarterly reviews, developing and monitoring individualized care plans. Collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, nurses, and therapy is central to ensuring resident well-being.
You will provide nutrition education and counseling as needed, ensuring compliance with CMS, DOH, and state/federal regulations. Maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring resident weights, and identifying nutrition-related concerns are key daily responsibilities.
This role also includes conducting kitchen sanitation audits and reviewing menus to ensure USDA compliance. RD Nutrition Consultants offers a supportive, responsive team environment and the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the facility.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RDN) credential required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Active state licensure (if applicable)
- Clinical experience preferred (skilled nursing or LTC a plus)
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with EMR/charting systems
Responsibilities
