About this role
The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides treatment and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician, working closely with family and team members on patient abilities and goals. This full-time, days position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external candidates.
Your typical schedule is 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. You will provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment across multiple service areas, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and outpatient settings, with potential to drive the Rehabilitation van as needed.
You will function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team, participating in clinical care conferencing and facilitating patient and family learning throughout the continuum of care. The Rehabilitation Department operates as a system department across four campuses, offering diverse specialty services and a collaborative environment grounded in the values of Accountability, Caring, and Teamwork.

Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon.
- Adherence to the Oregon State Occupational Therapy Licensing Board standards.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System vehicle policy (if driving the Rehabilitation van).
- At least one year of relevant experience required for sign-on bonus eligibility (external candidates only).
- Ability to provide occupational therapy services to various hospital service areas including acute care, inpatient rehab, home health, and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the Oregon State Occupational Therapy Licensing Board regulations.
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Provide staff consultation and training to support team development.
- Provide community resource knowledge and referral services to patients and families.
- May be required to drive the Rehabilitation van and meet all related SCHS vehicle policy requirements.
- Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to assure patient care is accomplished effectively and efficiently.
- Gather data and accurately document information in a timely manner, demonstrating compliance with departmental and professional regulations.
- Support Lean principles of continuous improvement and maintain a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
