Option Care Health, Inc. is the largest independent home and alternate site infusion services provider in the United States. The Registered Dietitian develops and implements clinical, operational, and marketing strategies to promote the home nutrition support program, including enteral and parenteral nutrition. This role provides daily clinical support for parenteral nutrition patients within an assigned territory.

Day-to-day duties include performing comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing and implementing nutrition care plans, and providing education to patients, caregivers, and staff. Review new enteral patients for appropriate home orders, free water flushes, formulary adherence, and payment paths. Evaluate parenteral patients for safe home initiation through full assessments and therapy coordination.

Collaborate regularly with pharmacy, nursing teams, and participate in discussions during team meetings on patient care plans. Work closely with account managers and sales directors to support nutrition-related sales and account relationships. Act as liaison to physicians, nutrition teams, customers, and sales staff for market penetration.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Currently residing in IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, OH, or WI
  • Qualified professional in clinical nutrition support
  • Knowledge of home enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies
  • Experience with nutrition assessments and care plans for acute and chronic conditions
  • Understanding of insurance guidelines and reimbursement for home nutrition
  • Ability to coordinate home infusion therapies

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical support of parenteral nutrition (PN) patients
  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop nutrition care plans
  • Review new enteral patients to ensure appropriate home orders, free water flushes, formulary supply, and payment paths
  • Evaluate new parenteral patients for safe and clinically appropriate home setting
  • Conduct patient education on parenteral and enteral nutrition in-person or phone-based
  • Participate in or lead discussions on PN patients during team meetings and collaborate with pharmacy and nursing
  • Support nutrition-related sales activity and account relationships with account managers and regional sales directors
  • Maintain knowledge of enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN) products and basic reimbursement
