The OR averages 250 cases per month including approximately 15 births. Case mix includes 50 percent general surgery, 25 percent orthopedics, 10 percent OB/GYN, and 15 percent other surgeries with no open heart or head cases. Typical hours run from 7am to 3 pm.

You will work with five CRNAs and two anesthesiologists across five state-of-the-art Operating Rooms. CRNAs enjoy a manageable call schedule of 1 in 4-5 and minimal trauma cases. This creates an environment focused on excellent work-life balance.

Requirements

  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • AANA certification and Maine Licensure
  • Proficiency in general, spinal, obstetrical, pediatric, and thoracic anesthesia excluding open heart
  • Experience with epidural and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Competency in central line placement
  • Skill in Bier block and ventilation management

Responsibilities

  • Administer general, spinal, obstetrical, pediatric, and thoracic anesthesia excluding open heart cases
  • Perform epidural and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Place central lines and manage Bier blocks
  • Handle ventilation management across a variety of surgical cases
  • Cover approximately 15 births per month within the overall case volume
  • Maintain flexibility and autonomy while practicing under a medical supervision model
