About this role

This role reports to the Center Manager and is responsible for preparing medical charts for PACE participants as it relates to program needs. The position supports a community-owned, locally governed non-profit health care system located in Northwest Arkansas.

Day-to-day duties include partnering with internal and external clients to receive medical records and upload them into charts. The tech also creates and maintains data sheets to ensure up-to-date information is available and processed in a timely manner per PACE regulations.

The Medical Records Tech works closely with the Quality Coordinator to process release of information requests in accordance with local, state, federal, and organizational policies. This position also maintains records of orientation and employee education to support licensure under PACE and Adult Day Health Care regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in business preferred
One year of experience in a medical record tech role preferred
Previous experience in a medical setting preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk 60% of the time
Ability to sit 40% of the time performing work in a standard office environment

Responsibilities
