About this role

A Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC) position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Swansea, MA. Once hired as part of the PTS team, you may join as many of our other local PRN rosters as you wish. Preferred Therapy Solutions is different from other therapy companies.

Requirements

  • Possess a current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP/ST) license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
  • Must have CCC-SLP certification
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Have experience with electronic documentation
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
  • Work well with others in a team setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting
  • Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment
  • Assess patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed
  • Document therapy sessions accurately using electronic documentation systems
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on speech and swallowing strategies
