About this role

Independently responsible for assessing, treating, caring for, and evaluating patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The role requires gaining confidence and cooperation from patients, their family or support group, and other healthcare providers through competent assessment and attentive monitoring.

Delivers optimal patient care while adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures that ensure privacy and safety. Effective communication supports both clinical outcomes and collaboration across the care team.

Works in a demanding environment that requires organizing multiple priorities and completing duties within expected timelines. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this per diem role.

Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides while serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students. The position supports ongoing professional practice development and keeps pace with advancements in speech pathology care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited speech pathology program
  • SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 2 years recent relevant experience
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and complete work duties within expected timelines
  • Demonstrates effective professional communication skills and interpersonal abilities including conflict resolution and teamwork
