As a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg at Northern Pines Medical Center, you will organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
You will delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Additionally, you will respond to emergency calls and assist the ambulance team in performing medical services and safely transporting patients to medical facilities.

Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire.
- Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or MN State Trauma Modules certification within 1 year from date of hire.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year from date of hire.
- Ability to meet all regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
Responsibilities
- Organize and provide nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Respond to emergency calls and assist the ambulance team in performing medical services.
- Ensure safe transportation of patients to medical facilities as part of the ambulance response.
- Contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health and the facility.
- Meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with Essentia's mission.
