About this role
As a Staff Nurse at Holmes Care Group, you will lead the team dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents and their families. Your role involves continuous assessments, planning and evaluation of residents' needs and wishes, providing excellent nursing care and support.
You will oversee all aspects of medicine management, ensuring safe administration per NMC Standards, and create and carry out treatment plans. Offering a safe, caring and stable environment to the people we support is central to the role. You will also ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.
You will support, guide, teach and mentor other members of your team while working closely with the Service Manager. Together, you ensure the smooth running of the home and promote high standards of nursing care. Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Relevant Nursing qualification (degree or diploma)
- Compassionate and caring attitude
- Adequate knowledge and experience in the nursing role with clear understanding of professional boundaries
- Experience in medication administration and management in accordance with NMC Standards
- Understanding of legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines for care homes
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of care staff
Responsibilities
- Providing excellent nursing care and support to our residents
- Overseeing all aspects of medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards
- Creating and carrying out treatment plans
- Offering a safe, caring and stable environment to the people we support
- Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
- Supporting the Service Manager with key targets by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care and supervising staff and shifts
- Supporting, guiding, teaching and mentoring other members of your team
- Working individually and in partnership with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home
