About this role

The University of Chicago’s Department of Pathology is searching for part-time Clinical Associates at 50% effort for renewable terms of up to three years. Appointees will be based at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls and will have clinical responsibilities in anatomic and clinical pathology. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have a medical doctorate or equivalent and hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana. Applicants must also have board certification in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology through the American Board of Pathology and the ability to carry and maintain CLIA licensure.

Requirements

  • Medical doctorate or equivalent
  • Eligible to hold a medical license in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology through the American Board of Pathology
  • Ability to carry and maintain CLIA licensure
  • Experience in administration, quality improvement, and lab operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services in anatomic and clinical pathology at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls
  • Maintain CLIA licensure for laboratory operations
  • Support quality improvement and lab operations as needed
