About this role

The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications for a full-time, tenure-leading faculty position in Anatomic Pathology with board certification/eligibility in neuropathology. The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have fellowship training in neuropathology.

The role involves participation in neuropathology services along with opportunities to contribute to molecular diagnostics, surgical pathology subspecialties, or autopsy. Educational duties include teaching within the medical school and an ACGME accredited AP/CP residency program.

Requirements

M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
Board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology.
Fellowship training in neuropathology.
Board certification or eligibility in neuropathology.
Visual capacity to review patient cases in paper, computer, physical, or slide format.
Eligible for Nebraska medical licensure.

Responsibilities

Provide neuropathology diagnostic services and consultations.
Participate in molecular diagnostics, surgical pathology subspecialties, or autopsy services.
Teach within the medical school and ACGME accredited AP/CP residency program.
Develop and engage in clinical/translational research projects.
Review patient cases in paper, computer, physical, or slide format.
