About this role
This role supports Natera's oncology testing by reviewing pathology tissue samples for accuracy and completeness prior to Signatera and Altera testing. As a Pathology Support Coordinator, you will leverage multiple information sources, including LIMS, to ensure each case meets quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting pathology reports, clinical notes, and additional testing reports to complete light data entry for each tissue sample. You will collaborate with team members to resolve potential discrepancies and place necessary notes and holds on non-conforming samples, escalating issues for timely resolution.
You will confirm cancer types for the reporting team before reports are issued via email and spreadsheet, and meet daily case metrics. This role works with PHI on a regular basis in both paper and electronic form, requiring strict adherence to HIPAA/PHI privacy protocols.

Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; BS/BA degree preferred.
- 2+ years of medical industry related experience — pathology experience preferred.
- Previous data entry experience is required.
- Trained on all product types and able to QC with high accuracy and efficiency consistently.
- Ability to handle most escalations, discrepancies, and holds.
- Firm understanding and knowledgeable in all aspects of the Sample Review process and SOPs.
- Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with high accuracy.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to use good judgment.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with team members to resolve potential discrepancies.
- Ensure necessary notes and holds are placed on cases for non-conforming samples, discrepancies, and/or missing information, and escalate for timely resolution.
- Confirm cancer types for the reporting team before the report is issued via emails and spreadsheets.
- Meet daily case metrics and attend interdepartmental meetings.
- Provide feedback on current processes or workflows and review all SOPs.
