Nurse Extern - MedSurg Cardiac

Summer Nurse Extern opportunity at St. Luke's South Shore. Join the 2MESG Team, a 28-bed inpatient unit specializing in older adults aged 70 and above with cardiac and neurological conditions. Manage diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, strokes, TIAs, and seizure disorders.

Support patient care under RN supervision by assisting with daily activities, vital signs, and medication administration. Gain hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic environment focused on compassionate care. Shifts may vary across Days, PMs, and NOCs.

Work full-time hours of 36-40 per week for 6-8 weeks starting early June. Collaborate with a team committed to medical excellence at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore. Provide state-of-the-art care close to home for diverse patient needs.

Build foundational nursing skills through observation, participation in care planning, emergency response, and team communication. Develop clinical expertise in a unit serving patients of all ages with cardiac and neuro conditions. Grow in an environment emphasizing compassionate care.
