OSU Physicians is proud to announce the opening of our new Powell location in August, and we are currently hiring an RN to join the Surgical Specialties and Urology Clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a newly built practice and contribute to high-quality patient care within a respected organization known for clinical excellence, education, and innovation.

In this role, you will provide skilled nursing services under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, collecting patient health data and analyzing it to determine diagnoses. You will develop and implement individualized plans of care, evaluate patient progress, and provide patient and family health education and assessment.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
  • CPR/BLS certified
  • Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
  • Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
  • Collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, and identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient
  • Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes
  • Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
  • Perform professional nursing work including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization
  • Provide patient and family health education and health assessment
