About this role

Priory Richmond House, based in Harleston, Norfolk, is a level 2 rehabilitation service for adult females with learning disabilities, autism, personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and a history of offending behaviours. We support people to improve their skills and strengthen their independence, enabling safe continuation of care and transition into community placements.

As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework, acting as the patient's named nurse. You will accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate progress, while monitoring and reviewing nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and their carers.

You will be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and support the wellbeing of our patients. Your role includes assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting care requirements, keeping things organised, and ensuring our spaces are well looked after.

Requirements

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
6–12 months post-registration experience, including completion of a preceptorship programme.
Sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards.
Evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development.
Positive attitude toward change, improvement, and quality.
Ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum of six months working within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care with the patient and their carer/family, acting as the patient's named nurse.
Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.
Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
Support day-to-day operations and care requirements to ensure the smooth running of the hospital.
Maintain organised and well-looked-after spaces to create a positive experience for those who live and work here.
