About this role

Harbison is a charitable, community-owned, not-for-profit organisation providing residential and non-residential care for aged or disabled people. We are seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team across AM shifts, Monday to Friday, at both our Burradoo and Moss Vale sites.

In this role, you will deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to residents. You will coordinate services from other disciplines or agencies to maximise care outcomes, implement and update individualised care plans, and identify, document, and manage clinical risks.

You will collaborate with residents, care partners, and providers to develop plans and initiatives that improve quality of life. You will also provide education, counselling, and group work services, and directly supervise and support Enrolled Nurses, personal care workers, and students.

This part-time position (72 hours per fortnight) offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement activities and participate in action research and policy development within a supportive, values-driven organisation. Harbison is one of the largest employers in the Southern Highlands and is governed by a Board of Directors.

Requirements

Bachelor of Nursing and current registration with AHPRA
Minimum 3 years' experience working in an aged care facility
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of residents
Capable of functioning autonomously and prioritising work within established policies and guidelines
High level of problem-solving skills with subsequent evaluation of outcomes
Proven ability to lead and direct a care service team

Responsibilities

Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to residents

Perform medication management, case conferencing, and wound management as assigned
