Requirements

Associate's Degree in Nursing required
One year of experience in a direct patient care setting preferred
Current RN license from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
ACLS certification preferred
Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; EPIC documentation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems
Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments
Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient's condition and vital signs
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient's responses and conditions
Administer nursing care including medication administration, documentation, and reassessment
Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Instruct individuals and families on health education, disease prevention, and aftercare
Promote a positive patient experience
