Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
• CPR/BLS certified
• Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for administration of medications and patient care aids
• Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families about disease nature and proper care and treatment
• Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data, develop, recommend, and implement solutions

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
• Collect patient health data, analyze to determine diagnoses, and identify individualized expected outcomes
• Develop a plan of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
• Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
• Provide patient and family health education and health assessment
• Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty as outlined by physicians and organizational policies
