Report to the Victorian HIS Operations Manager for accurate clinical data abstraction and coding.
Conduct timely coding of separations using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards from patient records. Liaise with clinicians to obtain additional documentation ensuring coding accuracy. Manage and prioritise workload to meet key performance targets effectively.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Health Information Management or Certificate IV/Diploma in Clinical Classification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience coding in an acute healthcare setting with varied casemix
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Coding Standards
- Experience with private sector funding models (desirable)
- Proficiency with coding software such as 3M Codefinder or WebPAS (desirable)
- Excellent communication, collaboration and time management skills
- Commitment to confidentiality, data integrity and continuous learning
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely coding of separations using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards
