About this role
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) at United Health Services provides high-acuity, patient-centered care to critically ill patients. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (required).
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License (required).
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (preferred).
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting (preferred).
- CCRN certification (preferred).
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care guided by UHS values of Trust, Compassion, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation.
- Support patients and families during complex and often life-threatening conditions.
- Collaborate with a team that values strong teamwork and mutual support.
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately.
- Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
