HealthNet is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centered care at the Martindale Brightwood Health Center in Indianapolis. This role combines clinical expertise with compassionate service to improve lives in the community.

In this position, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with providers and care teams. Daily tasks include conducting accurate clinical assessments, assisting with procedures, and performing point-of-care testing.

You will work in a supportive, nonprofit health center environment alongside dedicated staff. The schedule is full-time, typically Monday 9am-8pm and Tuesday-Friday 8am-5pm, with potential for travel between health centers.

Requirements

  • Currently not sponsoring work visa.
  • Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
  • Upbeat, positive personality with a passion to serve and educate patients; critical thinking and strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work individually and as a team member; reliable transportation required; may require travel between health centers.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition by observing and recording patient behavior.
  • Conduct accurate clinical assessments.
  • Administer medications and other treatment options.
  • Assist all units/staff with problem-solving to obtain necessary equipment, medications, and supplies on an as-needed basis.
  • Collaborate with providers and care teams.
  • Assist with procedures and point-of-care testing.
  • Perform administrative duties such as patient paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with patients and maintain accurate reporting to the health department.
