About this role
St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside is a leading private healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and Hybrid Theatre.
In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging during cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, structural heart, pacing and vascular procedures. You will operate and maintain imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy systems to ensure optimal image quality while adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
You will work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures. Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Radiographer
- Current Queensland Radiation Use License
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a tertiary hospital setting
- Cardiac Cath Lab or Angio Suite experience preferable but not essential, with CT or MRI subspecialties advantageous
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Tech-friendly mindset – especially around 3D post-processing tools
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging during cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, structural heart, pacing and vascular procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy systems) to ensure optimal image quality
- Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Maintain accurate imaging documentation, database and patient records
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
