About this role
The North Liberty Hospital department of Rehab Therapy seeks a Senior Occupational Therapist to specialize in hand therapy. This role involves administering treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, or injuries. Evaluate and interpret findings primarily in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment, and treatment appropriate for patients with complex or specialized needs. Maintain a high level of clinical productivity while serving as a clinical resource. Participate in clinical research and collaborate on special projects.
Exhibit divisional and departmental leadership by assisting with goals and management needs. Function as part of a multidisciplinary team with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
Develop, implement, and expand learning opportunities and skills development for staff and students. Assist in establishing new programs, maintaining current ones, and administering the departmental Quality Assurance program. Participate in developing service operations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- 2+ years experience as an Occupational Therapist with a high degree of understanding and skill in hand therapy and outpatient general occupational therapy
- Demonstrated clinical educational abilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a work or other professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
