Registered Nurse - Float - Part-Time

Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.

Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe. Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.

Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities. Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift while earning applicable differentials and charge pay.

This position offers a sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse on Night shift, with the first half paid at 6 months and the second half paid at one year of employment. Eligible staff also receive $2,000 per year in RN Loan Repayment.
