About this role
Nationwide search for Acute Care Registered Nurse with leadership experience in quality, accreditation and/or regulations. Selected candidate can be located anywhere in the United States. The RN (Psychiatric) Field Representative surveys health care organizations throughout the United States.
Applies systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine health care organizations' degree of compliance with applicable standards and functionality of care delivery systems. Engages health care organization staff in interactive dialogues on standards-based issues in health care to assess compliance. Identifies opportunities for improving compliance.
Prepares management reports that clearly link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities and related organization risk points. Effectively communicates this information to health care organization leadership in a constructive and collegial style. Interacts with organization staff and leadership nationwide.
Participates in other Joint Commission activities as assigned by supervisor. All positions require 100% nationwide travel and physical abilities to observe ongoing health care treatments and inspect facilities in real time. Contemporary knowledge of health care operations and Joint Commission standards supports ongoing surveys.
Requirements
- Graduate of approved school of nursing and hold a master’s degree in appropriate discipline
- Current professional license in discipline required at time of hire and maintained
- CPHQ certification through NAHQ at time of hire or by 12/31/28
- Experience working in a Psychiatric Hospital/facility
- Five years of recent health care experience including 3 years direct clinical experience and 2 years accreditation leadership
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards with direct involvement in two Joint Commission surveys
- Contemporary knowledge of health care operations, clinical practice, and performance improvement methods
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, interviewing, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
