We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Radiographer to join our Cath Lab multidisciplinary team at Duchy Hospital. The role covers a wide range of elective cardiac procedures including diagnostic coronary angiography, PCI with stents and drug-eluting balloons, pressure wire and IVUS studies, and complex CRT pacing.

Day-to-day work involves delivering exceptional clinical care in the Cath Lab while tracking, processing and managing imaging in RIS, PACS and IEP. The outpatient cardiology service also includes echocardiography, exercise testing, pacemaker interrogation and cardiac monitoring.

Flexible working patterns form part of the role, including weekend shifts. Duchy Hospital maintains a positive nurse-to-patient ratio and focuses on high standards of care for both private and NHS patients across Cornwall.

Requirements

Current HCPC registration
BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
Proven experience in Cardiology and General Radiography
Sound knowledge of radiation protection, patient safety, legal requirements, governance and audit
Evidence of ongoing CPD in Cardiology with knowledge of current evidence-based practice
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of Cath Lab imaging for diagnostic coronary angiography, PCI, pressure wire and IVUS studies
Support complex CRT and other pacing procedures in the cardiac catheter laboratory
Deliver echocardiography, exercise testing, pacemaker interrogation and cardiac monitoring in the outpatient setting
Track, process and manage imaging records in RIS, PACS and IEP systems
Apply radiation protection, patient safety and governance standards during all procedures
Provide flexible cover including weekend working as part of the Cath Lab rota
